We are very proud to have facilitated the flooring throughout this new-build library and affordable housing development in West Wickham, London.
This three-year-long project, delivered in 2025, has already received industry recognition, having been shortlisted for ‘Best Retrofit Project’ at the Building London Planning Awards.
The architects and developers moved beyond a purely cost-driven specification approach, instead prioritising sustainable design, long-term durability, and overall value whilst still maintaining affordability.
The transformation of the existing library has created a modern, multi-use facility featuring a striking new frontage and refreshed interiors. The upgraded building now includes bookable community and business lounge areas, expanded library spaces for adults and children, a new café, public facilities on each floor, and enhanced landscaping incorporating a dedicated children’s play area.
Alongside the library refurbishment, the development is also delivering 26 new homes as part of the Bromley Homes for Bromley People programme, helping address local housing needs.
This project successfully brings together community, culture, and high-quality homes, with flooring specifications carefully selected to complement its long-term focus on design, sustainability, and longevity.
